A major element of this program is the Viking Technical Seminar – an intensive, two-day training session that gives installers, consulting engineers, architects, and private corporations hands-on experience they can use to produce better specifications and installations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the seminar?
Each seminar is scheduled to last two full days.  Most seminars and are scheduled for a Monday and Tuesday. Please refer to the seminar schedule for a list of dates.

Will I need to make my hotel reservations?
No - Once your seminar registration is confirmed, Viking will make all necessary hotel arrangements.  You do not need to contact the hotel.  If you elect to extend your stay (or arrive earlier), then you will be responsible for making your own hotel reservations for any additional nights.

Is there a shuttle to pick me up at the airport?
Yes - The Holiday Inn Select provides a complimentary airport shuttle.  Once you arrive, please call (616) 285-7600 to request a pick-up.

Is food provided at the technical seminar?
Yes - Pastries, fruit, drinks, etc. are available in the seminar room.  Additionally, Viking will host a lunch on Monday and Tuesday, and a dinner on Monday evening.  You will be responsible for all other meals.  The Holiday Inn Select has a full restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well.

What is the dress code for the technical seminar?
The dress code is business casual. You will be participating in hands on training of Viking valves, sprinkler tests, burn demonstrations, and a plant tour so please dress comfortably.

Is transportation provided from the hotel to Viking?
Yes - Vans will take you to and from the seminar.  Plan to meet in the hotel lobby by 7:30 a.m. each morning to be transported to the seminar.  The van will return you to the hotel at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Will there be transportation to the airport after the seminar?
Yes - After the seminar on Tuesday, the vans will take you to the airport at approximately 5:00 p.m.  You will need to bring your luggage with you to the seminar Tuesday morning because the vans will not return to the hotel.

What time should I make my flight reservations?
You should make your flight reservations to arrive on Sunday evening and depart no earlier than 5:00 pm on Tuesday.  Please do not make any flight reservations until receiving your registration confirmation from Viking.
