Caledonia, Michigan – The Viking Corporation, a global leader in fire protection and life safety systems, introduced a new fire-fighting foam concentrate free from fluorinated surfactants and polymers, along with compatible system components. The new multi-purpose alcohol resistant foam concentrate is known as Synthetic Fluorine Free Foam, or Viking ARK SFFF.

Viking ARK SFFF Foam Concentrate is part of the industry’s first FM Approved Synthetic Fluorine Free Fixed Foam System for Hydrocarbon and Polar Solvent applications. The system is compatible with closed or open sprinkler configurations such as those found within warehouses, chemical manufacturing areas, loading racks, aircraft hangars and more.

In addition to 5.6 K-factor upright and pendent sprinklers and 11.2 K-factor pendent sprinklers, included in launch are Viking ARK SFFF Foam Concentrate (available in 6.5-gallon cans, 55-gallon drums, or 265-gallon IBC totes), Viking’s 6” and 8” Model VNR Wide Range Proportioner, and Model VFT Bladder Tanks. Products marked with “SFFF Compatible” will refer to the product’s compatibility with a SFFF system. Additional system components will be added soon.
