Caledonia, Michigan – The Viking Group, a global leader in fire protection and life safety systems, is pleased to announce that Jeremy Morton has been appointed as its new Chief Operating Officer. Jeremy is taking on the role after serving as Viking’s Senior VP – Sales and Marketing and Corporate Strategist for parent company Minimax Viking for the past year. The new position will further expand Viking’s sales and distribution efforts and reflects the company’s increased focus on growth. As COO, Jeremy will have responsibility for Sales, Distribution, Operations, and Manufacturing for the Viking Group.

Prior to joining Minimax Viking, Jeremy was the President of STANLEY Access Technologies, a division of StanleyBlack&Decker, which is the world’s largest manufacturer and installer of automatic doors. Earlier career positions include several P&L and technology leadership roles at global manufacturers including Ingersoll Rand and Schneider Electric. In 2019, Jeremy joined Minimax Viking to assist with the growth of the company as the Corporate Strategy Officer, and subsequently as Viking’s Senior VP – Sales and Marketing. Mr. Morton holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering Technology as well as a master’s degree in Technology, both from Purdue University.

As Viking continues to expand its footprint and lead the fire protection industry, Jeremy’s new position offers a greater alignment for various departments within Viking, ensuring continued growth and serving Viking’s overall purpose: protecting lives and property. “I’m both humbled and enthusiastic for the opportunity to serve the company in this capacity,” says Jeremy. “All of us at Viking are fortunate to be a part of a company whose purpose and mission is matched with world-class talent.
