Caledonia, Michigan – The Viking Corporation, a global leader in fire protection and life safety systems, introduced new additions to Viking’s line of InstaSeal® CPVC Sprinkler Head Adapters, which allow for installation without the use of thread tape or sealant. The new additions include both tees and 90° elbows.

The InstaSeal® elbows and tees offer the same great features that Viking’s original InstaSeal® CPVC Sprinkler Head Adapter offer, including brass threads with an EPDM seat for efficient installation. To install, the contractor will hand-tighten the sprinkler until it makes contact with the rubber seat. An additional ½ to 1-¼ turn by hand or with the appropriate wrench completes the installation. The final position of the sprinkler is adjustable, allowing the installer to properly align pendent or horizontal sidewall sprinklers with ease.

The new elbows and tees range in size availability, with tees available in ¾ x ¾ x ½” and 1 x 1 x ½” sizes, and 90° elbows available in sizes ¾ x ½” and 1 x ½”. The products can be used with sprinklers having a K-factor of 5.8 or less. The new products join Viking’s industry-leading line of CPVC sprinkler pipe and fittings. Viking is vertically integrated to ensure CPVC material compatibility and product dependability at every step of the supply chain, from manufacture to jobsite delivery.
