FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hastings, Michigan – The Viking Corporation, a global leader in fire protection and life safety systems, is introducing a new concentrate to its Synthetic Fluorine Free Foam line, which is free from fluorinated surfactants and polymers. The new multi-purpose alcohol resistant foam concentrate is known Viking USP 3%. In addition, Viking is releasing its latest in foam discharge devices: the FM Approved 360° Model GN202 Grate Nozzle.

FM Approved and UL Listed Viking USP 3% foam concentrate joins the low expansion SFFF foam line, which was part of the industry’s first FM Approved Synthetic Fluorine Free Fixed Foam System for Hydrocarbon and Polar Solvent applications.

The 360° Model GN202 Grate Nozzle is the latest in Viking’s FM Approved SFFF foam discharge device offering, designed to protect aircraft hangars and helipads. These low expansion foam discharge devices are installed with nozzles flush to the floor within the trench drain, and deliver a uniform discharge pattern with a maximum spacing of 50’ x 25’. The new product is introduced alongside optional upgrade kits, which will allow customers to retrofit the existing grate nozzle Model GN200 to ensure its compatibility with SFFF foam.

“These new additions to the low expansion SFFF foam concentrate line from Viking are really bolstering our FM Approved and UL listed foam package offerings,” says Martin Workman, Viking’s Vice President, Product Management. “Our approved and listed offering incorporates such a wide variety of products, including proportioning devices, discharge devices, and much more.”
