Viking Group, Inc. President & CEO James Golinveaux Elected National Fire Sprinkler Association Vice Chair

Caledonia, Michigan – James Golinveaux, President & CEO of Viking Group, Inc., was recently elected Vice Chair of the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA). The NFSA Board of Directors includes leaders from throughout the sprinkler industry, including fire sprinkler contractors, fire sprinkler manufacturers, and other professionals. They provide clear guidance and insight to allow NFSA to fulfill its mission.

“Throughout my career I have admired the work of the NFSA and their mission,” says Golinveaux. “It’s an honor to serve in this capacity alongside an outstanding group of leaders from different facets of the industry. Together we will continue to build a stronger industry and a safer world.”

Golinveaux has 40 years of experience in the fire protection industry and has been an active participant on many committees, boards, and councils. He has been a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and was a member of the NFPA 13 Technical Committee for over 22 years. In addition to his contributions to various NFPA committees and task groups, Golinveaux is the current chair of the NFPA Standards Council.

In 2016 Golinveaux received the NFSA’s distinguished Russell P. Fleming Technical Service Award. He has also served on the American Fire Sprinkler Association’s Technical Advisory Council and Manufacturers / Suppliers Council.  In recognition of his work toward the advancement of the fire sprinkler industry, Golinveaux was presented with the AFSA’s highest honor, the Henry S. Parmelee Award, in 2014. He maintains a passion for teaching and is a regular presenter at industry meetings and events.
