Caledonia, Mich. — Viking Group, Inc. is proud to announce that James Golinveaux, Chairman of the Board, was sworn in today as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the National Fire Sprinkler Association. Golinveaux will serve a two-year term leading the association’s Board, with the possibility of an additional two-year term.
The NFSA represents the voice of the fire sprinkler industry and works to promote the use of fire sprinkler systems through education, advocacy, codes and standards development, and industry collaboration.
Golinveaux brings more than four decades of experience in the fire protection industry to the role. He served as President and CEO of Viking Group, Inc. from 2016 through April 2025 and now serves as Chairman of the Board. Prior to joining Viking, Golinveaux accrued more than 34 years of industry experience, where he held senior leadership positions that focused on codes, standards, and fire suppression technologies.

As Chairman of the Board, Golinveaux will help guide the association’s strategic direction and support the mission of advancing the fire sprinkler industry through leadership in training, legislation, codes and standards development, and member collaboration. The NFSA Board of Directors is composed of professionals from across the industry who provide oversight and direction for the organization’s programs and initiatives.
